There are two separate Formula Ford championships within the Historic Tour. On one side, the F. Ford Historic Challenge, limited to the oldest single-seaters, from 1967 to 1981. On the other, the F. Ford Kent and Zetec Trophy, which welcomes all the cars within the same field of the modern era, whether with Kent (from 1967 to 1992) or Zetec (from 1993 to 2004) engines. Founded in 1967 in England, Formula Ford has never deviated from its basic rules: one-make Ford engine, 4-speed gearbox without auto-locking and absence of aerodynamic elements.
