The 2022 version of the Tour Auto will head to the southwest. The event organized by Peter Auto since 1992 has shown its definitive route in view of the 32nd edition, scheduled for April 25 to 30.
As tradition dictates, the historic cars will gather in Paris on Monday April 25 to carry out technical and administrative checks in full view of the public. The real start will be given from the Château de Rambouillet the next day.
The traveling event, which combines timed circuit competition and regularity events (14 SS on closed roads), will travel for the first time in its history to La Baule (Loire-Atlantique) after passing through the Bugatti circuit Le Mans (Sarthe).
The competitors will then head to Limoges (Haute-Vienne) via the Val de Vienne circuit, before tackling three special stages on the road leading them to Bordeaux. The Gironde city had not appeared on the Tour Auto route since 2011.
Surveyed several times in the past, the Paul Armagnac circuit in Nogaro (Gers) will regain the honors of the Tour Auto during the penultimate stage, before a final, well-deserved rest in Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques).
The final bouquet will come in the form of a particularly Pyrenean fifth stage between the city of King Henry IV and the principality of Andorra, which appears for the very first time as the final finish city.
The detailed route with passage times in the municipalities will be revealed on March 29 at 20 p.m.
