The Circuit des Remparts in a Porsche 911 3.0 RS

I thought that my big leap into the world of historic racing, a few months ago at the Grand Prix de France historique (see Ah n°2325), would remain a unique experience. This was without counting on the spontaneous and passionate call from Adrien Audibert, preparer of historic competition automobiles in the Bordeaux region: to participate in the Circuit des Remparts d'Angoulême aboard a superb Porsche 911 3.0 RS from 1974. After the exhilarating experience at Paul-Ricard with an old Formula Ford, I wanted to explore the subject in a completely different context and at the wheel of a GT.

This is how I found myself, one Friday in September, in Canéjan in the suburbs of Bordeaux to discover my horse. The Remparts meeting being in a very short running format, we wanted to validate a certain number of points on the car before the first tests. Barely arriving at the meeting point, Adrien Audibert shows me his showroom in which some legends of motor racing are stored. Hidden behind a BMW M1 Procar freshly returned from the Tour Auto and a Lancia 037 Group B, I see the silhouette of a 911. A navy blue 3.0 1974 RS sporting the livery
