After an administrative delay, the entry list for the 90th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans was published this Thursday March 10 by the ACO. This delay was probably linked to the situation in Ukraine since the Russian team G-Drive, initially entered in the WEC and therefore in Sarthe, will ultimately not be present.

Nevertheless, the two Oreca 07-Gibsons planned will be in contention at the Le Mans classic, but under the name Algarve Pro Racing, the structure usually providing technical support from G-Drive. James Allen and René Binder will be there in the double round of the clock, as will John Falb and Sophia Floersch in the second car entered in ELMS. Daniil Kvyat and Roman Rusinov, who challenged the FIA's decisions, will be replaced by drivers yet to be determined.

Another name to remember in this entry list is that of Ricky Taylor. The American pilot in fact replaces Nicolas lapierre at COOL Racing, since the French driver will ride with Alpine in Hypercar. In this category, the crew of the second Glickenhaus is confirmed with Richard Westbrook, Franck Mailleux and Ryan Briscoe. The latter leaves his place in the sister car to Pipo Derani.

“What a plateau!” After unveiling a program rich in activities, particularly for the public, we are very happy to be able to count on 62 high-quality competitors, rejoices Pierre Fillon, President of the ACO. For the 99th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the final event before the centenary planned for next year, the show will be there in all categories. We are now looking forward to June, to being able to celebrate endurance and to witness a beautiful, long week of competition. »

No surprise, the operations teams are taking up the torch: so much the better for their employees and the pilots concerned. Let us just note that on the Le Mans side, yellow and blue are indeed the colors of the ACO and not those of Ukraine... The silence of the Club on Russian aggression is deafening.

And the mountain gave birth to a mouse as I would have preferred a 3rd Toyota or above all, a 3rd Glickenhaus, this list is still very provisional, 26 drivers are missing! Please in LMP2, Still no Thomas Laurent?! and also think of Paul Petit. Finally, the female gender is represented almost as it should be, but, Lilou Wadoux, PRO pilot???
