The Le Mans fans gave a particularly warm welcome to the crew NASCAR engaged this year as part of the Garage 56 program. A great discovery for the vast majority of the public present on Place de la République, who saw a NASCAR car for the first time on national soil!

A good student, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Next Gen brilliantly passed the administrative and technical checks, obtaining the precious ticket to take the direction of the great circuit of 24 Hours of Le Mans long… 8,467 miles. And yes, it’s time to adapt to American standards!

Jenson Button, Jimmie Johnson and Mike Rockenfeller were quick to put on their suits and pose for an endless photo shoot. At 47, Johnson is the oldest of this valiant group of veterans – Button is 43 and Rockenfeller 39 – but will be a Rookie at Le Mans. when hitting the track for the first time on Sunday.

“I didn't know what to expect, so it's even more beautiful, rejoiced Johnson with a childish look.  I wasn't prepared for the shock I felt upon discovering the trail for real yesterday. It's awesome. I'm really enjoying it. » The three drivers had in fact started the day with a morning jog on the circuit.
