Last minute change in the entry list 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023. Hired by Vanwall since the start of the season, Jacques Villeneuve will ultimately not be at the start of the Centenary. The world champion of Formula 1 1997 is replaced by Tristan Vautier alongside Tom Dillmann and Esteban Guerrieri.

The Austrian team was content with a simple publication on social networks indicating the presence of the French driver in place of the Canadian. Tristan Vautier only discovered the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2022, with ARC Bratislava in the LM P2 category. Accustomed to the highest level of prototype in IMSA, the Isérois is entered this season in the European Le Mans Series with Algarve Pro Racing, but had not found the right fit for participation in the Centenary of the Le Mans classic.

Even though Jacques Villeneuve had shown difficulties since the start of the season, particularly in terms of pace, it seemed unlikely that he would be replaced before the flagship race of the season. Colin Kolles also seems to have favored an outside track instead of the young Belgian Esteban Muth, the reserve at Vanwall.
