34 crews entered for the 2015 edition of the ELMS

Alongside the presentation of the list of entrants for the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015 and WEC, the 34 crews who will compete in theELMS have been confirmed, including twelve LM P2s and seven LM P3s.

The premier category of LM P2 will notably welcome SMP Racing, which remains on a consecration in GT in ELMS last year. The Russian team will field two BR01s for Mikhail Aleshin and Maurizio Mediani which have been confirmed. In the absence of the reigning champion Signatech-Alpine, moved to the next level in WEC, JOTA Sport will try to win the coronation with its new Gibson 015S. We will also find the two Oreca 03Rs from Team Ibanez Racing, or the Ligier JS P2s from Krohn Racing and Team Algarve Pro Racing. The only Morgan in the field will be entered by Pegasus Racing.

Newcomer to the discipline, the LM P3 category will feature seven Ginetta-Nissans, including the prototypes entered by Team LNT (with Chris Hoy and Michael Simpson), or Villorba Corse.

In GTE, nine cars will be there. Alongside AF Corse which will have the label of favorite, the BMW Z4 of Marc VDS Racing, entrusted in particular to Andy Priaulx will be one to watch very closely. THE Ferrari 458 Italia composeront l’essentiel de la catégorie, seule la Z4 belge et deux Porsche 911 engagées par le Gulf Racing UK et le Proton Competition s’opposant au contingent italien.

Finally, the GTC category will also be dominated by the presence of the Ferrari 458 Italia, all entered by AF Corse. L'Aston Martin Vantage from the Danish team Massive Motorsport and the BMW Z4 from TDS Racing, which will notably be driven by Frenchman Eric Dermont, will be the other two cars lined up. Note that Dunlop will be the manufacturer of the GT categories for three years.

The official ELMS tests will take place on March 23 and 24 at Paul Ricard in the Var, before the start of the season scheduled for April 11 at Silverstone in England.
