The first of the two Free Practice sessions for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet saw Panis Racing (Julien Canal, Nicolas Jamin, Job van Uitert) set the best time in 1:43.397 ahead of Prema (Lorenzo Colombo, Louis Delétraz, Ferdinand Habsburg) at just 0.106 seconds and United Autosports (Phil Hanson, Tom Gamble, Duncan Tappy) at 0.271. The top ten in the general classification were held within just a second, confirming that the gap is minimal between each crew in LM P2 and that the slightest error will be costly this weekend.

United Autosports finished the session in the lead in LM P3 with the #320 Ligier JS P3 (James McGuire, Kay van Berlo, Andrew Bentley) in 1:49.896. The English team beat the No. 5 of RLR MSport (Michael Jensen, Nick Adcock, Alex Kapadia) and the No. 27 of COOL Racing (Nicolas Maulini, Jean-Ludovic Foubert, Antoine Doquin).
On the LMGTE side, the best time went to the Ferrari F488 GTE EVO n°57 du Kessel Racing (Takeshi Kimura, Frederik Schandorff, Mikkel Jensen) en 1:53.845. Les deux Porsche 911 RSR – 19 de Proton Competition ont complété le podium de la catégorie avec la N°77 (Christian Ried, Lorenzo Ferrari, Gianmaria Bruni) devant la n°93 (Michael Fassbender, Zacharie Robichon, Richard Lietz).
