The ACO has revealed the provisional calendar for the next Asian Le Mans Series campaign, on the sidelines of the second Sepang meeting in Malaysia.

Asian LMS – The provisional 2016-2017 calendar revealed

The 2016-2017 edition of theAsian Le Mans TV Shows, championship now under the leadership of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, knows its provisional calendar. The number of events will remain the same as in 2015-2016, with four meetings between China (October 30, 2016) and Malaysia (January 22, 2017), with visits to Fuji in Japan (December 4, 2016) and Thailand (January 8, 2017).

The main change comes from the duration of the tests, which last from three to four hours. “It was very important for us to be able to anticipate the announcement of our 2016/2017 season in order to allow the teams to start working on season 2. Our return to China, which was essential, is an additional step in anchoring the series on the continent. » explains Cyrille Taesch Wahlen, Managing Director of the Asian Le Mans Series.

A sprint series dedicated to LM P3s and CNs is also being studied within the ACO for the spring and summer periods.

Provisional 2016-2017 calendar for the Asian Le Mans Series:

China – Zhuhai: October 30, 2016
Japan – Fuji: December 4, 2016
Thailand – Buriram: January 8, 2017
Malaysia – Sepang: January 22, 2017
