ELMS – Morand Racing is at the forefront

It’s back to school for the European Le Mans Series. It was indeed yesterday that the first of two days of official pre-season testing was held on the Paul-Ricard circuit. The weather was mild for the occasion, and all the protagonists hope that it will be the same today, despite the forecast arrival of clouds this afternoon.

Yesterday's day was divided into three sessions, one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one at the end of the evening for competitors wishing to do so. And it was Morand Racing which showed its advantage on the 1 km A2V5,791 route. The Swiss team's Morgan-Judd completed a lap of the Var circuit in 1'48"153 in the hands of Franck Mailleux. The top 3 is completed by the Zytek Z11 SN-Nissan Jota Sport of Simon Dolan (+0”078) and the Oreca 03-Judd Race Performance of Patric Niederhauser.

Fourth fastest time at 0”878 from the reference time, Nelson Panciatici allowed Signatech Alpine to shine, including the best time of the night session.

In the other categories, Soheil Ayari (Oreca 09 FLM Team Endurance Challenge #48) and Matt Griffin (Ferrari 458 Italia RAM Racing n°52) set the best time in LM PC and GTC respectively.
