G-Drive Racing won at Estoril with the Gibson 01S of Van der Garde-Tincknell-Dolan while Thiriet by TDS Racing once again saw the title slip away.

ELMS – Victory and title for G-Drive

G-Drive Racing ends the season as it began. The Gibson 01S managed by Jota Sport and driven by Harry Tincknell, Simon Dolan and Giedo van der Garde won the 4 Hours of Estoril as the Russian outfit clinched the title following the misfortunes of Thiriet by TDS Racing. The Oreca 05 of Thiriet-Beche-Hirakawa finished several laps after encountering mechanical problems which could be linked to the starter.

Dragonspeed takes second place after claiming victory at the start of the race. Nicolas lapierre retained the lead on the Oreca 05 before handing over to Henrik Hedman who lost several places while running on worn tires.

SMP Racing completes the podium with the Coletti-Wirth-Petrov BR01. Stefano Coletti resisted the return of Olivier Pla in the Krohn Racing Ligier JS P2 who even collided with the Russian LMP2, going into a spin which had no other consequences.

M. Racing – YMR signs its first success in LMP3 with the No. 18 of Ehrlacher-Laurent-Cougnaud who benefited from a poor race for the United Autosports LMP3s.

The favorite for the GTE title also saw the coronation escape him. JMW Motorsport only needed a 6th place to ensure they finished at the top of the Championship, but the Ferrari 458 n°66 retired following gearbox problems while theAston Martin MacDowall-Turner-Howard’s Vantage secured first place and the title.
