Le Mans / ELMS: Chatin with Panis-Barthez

As official testing for the European Le Mans Series begins this Tuesday on the Paul-Ricard track in Var, the Panis-Barthez Compétition team has confirmed the arrival of Paul-Loup Chatin in its ranks. The European Champion ELMS 2014 with Signatech-Alpine, aligned in WEC in 2015, will return to the series on the Ligier JS P2 of the team headed by Olivier Panis and will compete alongside Fabien Barthez and Timothé Buret on the rounds of the 2016 ELMS calendar as well as in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

“After two years full of emotions in LM P2, I am delighted to be able to bring my experience to the new Panis-Barthez Compétition structure., indicates the 24-year-old pilot. Olivier Panis and Fabien Barthez are two figures who have left their mark on French sport with their performances as well as their personalities, so it is a great chance for me to have them as examples this season. The challenge is high, but I am sure that, together with Timothé and Fabien, we have the necessary assets to achieve it. The adventure can now begin! »

Panis-Barthez Compétition will also field a Ligier JS P3 in ELMS for Valentin Moineault, 4 French F2015 champion, Simon Gachet and Eric Debard.
