Nicolas Lapierre dominates the first day of testing at Le Castellet

As tradition dictates, theELMS organizes its traditional “Prologue” on the Monday and Tuesday preceding the opening round, which this year will be the 4 Hours of Le Castellet.

Yesterday, for the first of these two days of collective testing, Nicolas lapierre proved that confinement and fatherhood had no detrimental effect on his performance. And for good reason, the Frenchman from Cool Racing lifted the No. 37 Oreca to the top of the hierarchy thanks to a lap completed in 1'39"475.

Best time of the afternoon, Nico was ahead of his compatriot Tristan Gommendy in the cumulative ranking of the day, reference for the night session in 1'39"559. The top three is completed by Andreas Fjorbach, who defends the interests of High Class Racing.

In LM P3, United Autosports stood out thanks to Tom Gamble, who set a 1'48"421 at the wheel of the No. 320 Ligier JS P2, and who preceded Vincent Capillaire by 0"2 and 0"3 respectively. (Ligier n°9 of Graff) and Niko Kari (Ligier n°11 Eurointernational).

Finally, Iron Lynx did not go into detail in GTE by claiming the two best times in the class. Credited with a 1'52"245 at the wheel of the Ferrari 488 GTE No. 60, Andrea Piccini beat Michelle Gatting, who is at the wheel of the No. 83, led by a 100% female trio. In third row, we find Matt Griffin, entered in the #488 Spirit of Race 55 GTE.

Committed to the Porsche 911 RSR n°93, actor Michael Fassbender completed a lap of the Var track in 1'57"509 and for the moment concedes 3"5 to his fastest teammate, in this case Felipe Laser.

Today is the second and final day of these pre-season tests. The competitors will then meet again on Friday for the first two free sessions of the 4 Hours of Le Castellet.
