Pescarolo finally back on track

Preparing for this season has been a real marathon for the whole team since the auction on October 15. Crazy race to adapt the car to the new regulations, courageous ride in the search for partners, essential support to carry out this highly anticipated return to competition. “I found a complete work tool, two cars ready to race, but in 2010 version, explained Henri Pescarolo in the columns of AUTOhebdo n°1777 after the auction. Once the emotions dissipated, I continued the work undertaken since the beginning of the summer to discuss with possible partners?

The Pescarolo Team enters the first round of Le Mans Series on the Castellet circuit with great ambitions. The Sarthe team knows this championship well, having already won it twice in 2005 and 2006. “The most rational choice is to win the Le Mans Series a third time, especially since it will be the last real title of this championship called to change philosophy, notes the four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Déjà, pour y arriver, il faudra battre des clients sérieux tel Rebellion qui arrive avec Toyota. Donc il faudra avoir fait le bon choix, celui qui nous permettra d?être le plus près possible des diesels lorsqu?on les rencontrera et d?être devant dans les confrontations entre moteurs essence. »

The Sarthoise team has focused on reliability this year, notably retaining the large 5-liter Judd engine. As for aerodynamic developments, Pescarolo was able to count on the active collaboration of Oak Racing, in particular by accessing their aero research carried out this year.

Emmanuel Collard, Julien Jousse and Christophe Tinseau will have the task of defending Pescarolo's chances this weekend.
