Vergne and Aubry with IDEC Sport in Le Castellet

Patrick Pilet selected with Frikadelli Racing for the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring (June 3 to 6), IDEC Sport had to find a replacement for its No. 28. It's done. Free on that date, Jean-Éric Vergne will be at Castellet for the third round of theELMS with the French structure.

" (I am) very happy to ride again in Endurance, the last time was at Le Mans in 2020, savors JEV, future teammate of Paul-Loup Chatin and Paul Lafargue on the No. 28. I am very happy to ride for IDEC Sport which lets me join the family. If I can help achieve a result, I will do everything I can ».

Faced with a calendar clash with the GT World Challenge America, Ryan Dalziel will also miss the ELMS event at Le Castellet. Logically unable to compete in both events in the same weekend, the Briton will be replaced by Gabriel Aubry on the No. 17.

« I am happy to find IDEC Sport and Nicolas Minassian with whom I worked in 2018, explains the Frenchman. I think it’s nice to have been a competitor with ERA Motorsport at the 24 Hours of Daytona and to come and drive with them in this race. We know each other a little because we talked in the paddock ».

At Castellet, Gabriel Aubry will share the No. 17 with Kyle Tilley and Dwight Merriman.
