Michael Andretti is definitely on all fronts. In addition to aiming for an arrival in Formula 1 with Cadillac, the American joined forces with another big name in motorsport across the Atlantic, Wayne Taylor. If the association begins with theIMSA this season, Mario's son said during a conference organized in Daytona on the sidelines of the Roar, that he was considering a future in WEC and 24 Hours of Le Mans.

« This is obviously a goal that we have, says Andretti. With the partners we have at Andretti Global, our goal is to participate in the biggest motorsport events in every corner of the world. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is obviously one of them. So yes, we want to be there. »

A desire shared by Wayne Taylor: “ It's the great raceEndurance which is missing from our list. It's no secret that this is one of our priority objectives. » On Andretti's side, we are no longer at one more series while the team is already engaged in IndyCar, riding a Formula E or even in Extreme E, but the boss does not fear being scattered. “ This is not the case if we have the right people in the right places. Many things in IMSA can benefit our programs in IndyCar or Formula E, and the converse is also true. This program will make us stronger. »

With a view to an arrival in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Michael Andretti has already announced a future satellite installation in Europe. While Wayne Taylor Racing is still hoping for a second Acura ARX-06 in competition for 2024, it would therefore be possible to see one of the two cross the Atlantic to come to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. One question remains: Acura being the premium branch of Honda in North America, under what name will the Japanese brand participate in the WEC and the La Sarthe classic?

In Formula 1, when the championship crosses the Atlantic to take place in the New World, Red Bull et Alpha Tauri saw their livery adapted with Acura instead of Honda. It would therefore be logical to see Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport take the name of the parent company during rounds outside the United States and therefore at Le Mans.
