Andre Castro new leader of ENES

Andre Castro has become the new leader of the EuroNascar Esports Series, the virtual championship of Nascar Whelen Euro Series. The DF1 Racing driver is the second driver to achieve a second victory in the series after winning the second semi-final contested on the Charlotte Roval road course.

The American dominated the event by taking pole, winning the qualifying race and the half-hour “Main Event” on the iRacing platform.

" It feels really good. The traffic was a challenge, but I managed to keep the pace and I'm really happy to bring home the virtual trophy for my family, all the people who support me, Whelen of course and DF1 Racing. I like Zolder and we have a good chance of winning the title. Fingers crossed ! », commented the new leader.

Andre Castro dominated the main event from start to finish, winning with more than 8 seconds ahead of Tobias Dauenhauer who took his second podium this year. Alon Day completed the podium ahead of Ulysse Delsaux and reigning NWES champion Loris Hezemans. The American will enter the Zolder final on July 14 with a lead of 12 points over Loris Hezemans and 25 points over Tobias Dauenhauer.
