Baldi and Banki win in Esports WTCR

Gergo Baldi and Bence Banki were the two winners of the second round of the Esports WTCR contested at the Slovakia Ring circuit.

Engaged with Hyundai and M1RA Esports, Gergo Baldi snatched pole in Race 1. The former Esports WTCR champion remained in the lead for most of the race, holding off Moritz Löhner and Adam Pinczes. The reigning champion of the virtual championship Kuba Brzezinski finished just off the podium, ahead of his teammate Williams Esports Nikodem Wisniewski.

In Race 2, Bence Banki took the lead by taking the advantage over pole sitter Martin Barna who retained the advantage over Tim Heinemann. The latter completed the podium ahead of Moritz Löhner and Jakub Brezezinki.

The WTCR drivers struggled even more, although Esteban Guerrieri still managed to enter the Top 10 by taking 9th place in Race 1.

The third round of the Esports WTCR will be contested on Monday May 4 at the Ningbo circuit.
