A week after Michigan, Simon Pagenaud won another virtual oval event, this time in Motegi with the support of the Race Clutch simracing team.

Second consecutive victory for Pagenaud in IndyCar iRacing Challenge

The good momentum continues for simon pagenaud. The Penske driver won the race on Saturday eveningIndyCar iRacing Challenge contested on the Japanese oval of Motegi, just in front of his teammate Scott Dixon, after taking the lead on the 106th of 113 laps.

 

 

The Frenchman, assisted in his task by his engineer Ben Bretzman and the French simracing team Race Clutch is thus at its second consecutive victory in the virtual competition.

“In the end it got really crazy, explained the winner of the 500 Indianapolis 2019. What's fun is that you ride with the same competitors as in real life, and you do exactly the same driving maneuvers as in real life. 

 

At the moment we are not racing on real circuits, but only virtual ones. This gives me a lot of satisfaction. The adrenaline was at its peak at the end of the race. »

The next round is scheduled for the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). “We'll have to work hard this week, it's a big challenge with 20 turns, but anything is possible”, concludes the native of Montmorillon (Vienna).
