Ehrlacher wins Esports WTCR Pre-Season
It's only virtual, but a title remains a title, and Yann Ehrlacher (Lynk & Co) will not say the opposite. The Alsatian emerged victorious in the Esports WTCR Pre-season, contested on the PC video game RaceRoom during confinement.
The Cyan Racing representative did not waver during the final contested on the Sepang circuit, as in the real 2019 season. A third and a seventh place were enough to remain leader of the general classification.
“First of all, I would like to congratulate all the participants in this competition,” he explained. Thanks to the organizer, it was very nice to drive against so many WTCR players and ex-World Cup drivers.
It wasn't easy, I spent hours and hours preparing my simulator. I'm delighted to start my 2020 season this way even if it's only virtual, it's still great to bring home a cup. Now I will turn my attention to the real season and hope to have the same result! »
Les courses ont été remportées par les duellistes de la campagne 2019, Esteban Guerrieri (Honda) et Norbert Michelisz (Hyundai). Un autre Français figure parmi le top 10 du championnat, il s’agit du Girondin Aurélien Comte (Peugeot ).
