Esport – Leclerc and Albon present at the second Virtual GP

Blocked by the general confinement linked to the coronavirus, the pilots F1 will be able to meet at the virtual F1 Esports Grands Prix. After a first race contested on the Sakhir track in Bahrain, the second event will be contested on the Albert Park track in Melbourne located in Australia.

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) will be engaged against Alexander albon (Red Bull), George Russell (Williams), Lando Norris (McLaren) Or Nicholas latifi (Williams). The grid will be diverse as former Sauber driver Johnny Herbert will be back after taking 13th place in the first race. World cricket champion Ben Stokes will also be invited, taking advantage of his partnership with the Austrian energy drink brand.

The platform used being the F1 2019 video game, the Hanoi circuit which was to host the first Vietnamese Grand Prix this weekend cannot be used.

The event will be broadcast on the Internet and will offer a one and a half hour format for a 28-lap race following qualifying. All drivers will start with the same settings, reduced damage to the cars and the possibility of having ABS and traction control for players less familiar with the video game.
