George Russell concluded the season F1 Esports with panache. The pilot Williams won for the 4th consecutive time by winning the virtual Canadian Grand Prix contested on the Gilles Villeneuve track in Montreal on the F1 2019 platform. The Briton was assured of the title even before the start due to the absence of Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) retained by the 24 Hours of Le Mans virtual.
Already a winner on the tracks of Barcelona, Monaco and Baku, George Russell once again highlighted himself by taking pole on the Montreal circuit before dominating the race by winning in front Alexander albon (Red Bull) and Esteban Gutiérrez (Mercedes).
“It was superb, it kept us very busy, commented the virtual champion. We remained in the competition. We're stuck at home right now and it was good to still be able to compete. I put in a lot of effort and I'm proud to have achieved good results. »
George Russell will get back behind the wheel of his Williams FW43 on July 5 for the start of the season at the Austrian GP at the Red Bull Ring.
