This was one of the games announced during the conference held by Sony on Thursday June 11 in the evening concerning the PlayStation 5. After an episode focused on Esport with Grand Turismo Sport in 2017, the Japanese studio Polyphony Digital is indeed refining the seventh opus from his series:
The trailer allows us to see the arrival of a legendary car from theEndurance, Porsche 917 in Gulf colors, which scraps with a Ford GT Mk IV, or (more quickly) a Porsche 911 GT1 and a Aston Martin DBR9 GT1. Additionally, the fictional forest trail Trials Mountain returns.
A first gameplay video was then released, and it is full of lessons! First of all, the home menu looks very similar to the glorious Gran Turismo 4 on PlayStation 2 with the return of used vehicles to buy and mechanical parts to improve your vehicle.
In addition, the presentation of the circuits available on a world map suggests that a large part of the routes present in Gran Turismo Sport will be renewed, namely Interlagos (Brazil), Daytona (Florida), Willow Springs (California) Le Mans (Sarthe), Nürburgring/Nordschleife (Germany), Monaco, Barcelona (Spain), Monza (Italy), Sardinia (dirt) and two tracks in the south of England (Brands Hatch and Goodwood potentially).
Unfortunately, no release date has been confirmed for Gran Turismo, we'll have to wait and see...
