Guanyu Zhou first winner of the Virtual Grand Prix Series

Without the possibility of competing in the first Grands Prix of the season due to the coronavirus pandemic which is raging around the world, the F1 has moved, like most championships, towards Sim Racing.

The first round of the Virtual Grand Prix Series virtual championship, where gamers and real drivers competed in F1 2019, was organized on the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain and saw the success of Guanyu-Zhou with the car from the stable Renault.

The French team's test driver dominated the event, beating Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes) and Philipp Eng (Red Bull). Lando Norris (McLaren) could have taken 4th place not without a collision with Jimmy Broadbent (Racing Point F1) in the last corner.

Significantly less success for Nico Hulkenberg (Racing Point F1) caught in an accident at the start. Johnny Herbert (Alfa Romeo) distinguished himself by taking the advantage at the first corner… not without having largely cut the track!
