F122 game is now available

That's it ! Fans of Formula 1 and simulation will be spoiled. This Friday 1^er July indeed marks the official release of the game F122, the first co-published edition since the acquisition of developer Codemasters by EA, available on PC but also on console (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S).

What's new in F122

In terms of gameplay sensations, F122 is a continuation of F1 2021. The “gameplay” remains very pleasant with a first handling still as accessible. For this new component, EA and Codemasters have decided to bring some new technical features such as “immersive” training laps in which the player is required to manage more parameters such as their position and location on the starting grid.

Like the new training laps, users will also have to pay attention to various adjustments during Safety Car periods, such as maintaining the tire temperature. During pit stops, the player will also have the opportunity to remove assistance and thus manage it with his own resources by choosing the right moment to dive into his location in order to change tires.

F1 Life and Supercars arrive on F122

Among other new features of F122, users will be able to discover F1 Life. This is a virtual salon where you can create your own avatar, and therefore modify it in your own way by buying new clothes or accessories such as caps or glasses.

This virtual lounge is also a meeting place for players from all over the world since you can walk around virtually and go from lounge to lounge. You could discover the different Supercars owned by other players.

These Supercars are also part of this panel of new products. In addition to F1 and F2, you will be able to collect production sports cars like McLaren, Ferrari, Aston Martin or even Mercedes. Once in possession of at least one Supercar, you can then perform classic laps on the available circuits or challenges, such as drifting, thanks to the new Pirelli Hot Lap challenges mode.

For other modes, F122 continues its momentum with always a solo career or with an online friend. MyTeam, the mode which allows you to create and manage your own team, is also still relevant.

All circuits available

If during F1 2021 circuits like Barcelona or Abu Dhabi had not been updated following their various modifications, on F122 all the tracks take on their current features. Thus, turn 10 in Barcelona makes its appearance on the scene, as do the changes to that of Abu Dhabi, notably with the removal of the chicane at turns 11, 12 and 13.

Returning to the Formula 1 calendar for the first time since the health crisis, Albert Park in Melbourne has also been modified. F122 players will therefore be able to benefit from the new features of the Australian venue which saved more than 10 seconds on a flying lap.

Finally, the Miami circuit is also available! Big news for this 2022 season, the route of the Florida Grand Prix has already been modeled, thus avoiding players an additional year of waiting before being able to discover it.

F122 is now available for everyone. It will cost around €60/80 to get it depending on the platform.
