Leclerc launches into the World RX Esports Series

Charles Leclerc is a fan of Esports. The pilot of the Team Ferrari has already distinguished itself in virtual races F1 and SRO and has its place reserved for 24 Hours of Le Mans virtual on June 13 and 14.

The Monegasque is diversifying a little more by being registered for the first round of the World RX Esports Series contested this Sunday on the Yas Marina track in Abu Dhabi on the Dirt Rally 2.0 platform. The double Grand Prix winner will be entered on a Peugeot 208 WRX.

The Pro category will already be loaded with the presence of the Hansen brothers (Peugeot) who will notably face Andreas Bakkerud (Audi), Oliver Bennett (Mini), Timo Scheider (Seat) or Rokas Baciuska (Renault Megane). But other participants from various disciplines will strengthen the grid, notably Tom Blomqvist (Peugeot), Mika Salo (Ford Fiesta), Kelvin van der Linde (Audi), Esteban Guerrieri (Seat) and Shane van Gisbergen (Peugeot).
