Monza Esports race entrants revealed

SRO Motorsports brings the GT World Challenge to sim racing. In these times of confinement due to the coronavirus pandemic which is raging across the planet, motorsport is turning to simulations to continue its activity in the face of the closure of circuits.

Stéphane Ratel's entity will organize this weekend, via the game Assetto Corsa Competizione and on the Monza track, a race bringing together real drivers and gamers, for three races (two semi-finals and a final) bringing together a total of 90 pilots.

Two groups of 45 drivers will compete in the two semi-finals (a one-hour race with no pit stops), with the twenty best drivers qualifying for the final.

The starting grid for this final round will be decided via a 15′ qualification, before the decisive confrontation, also contested over one hour.

Among the real drivers present at this event, note the presence of the French Matthieu Vaxiviere (Aston Martin Vantage GT3), Aurélien Panis (Lexus RC F GT3), Simon Gachet (Audi R8 LMS GT3), Romain Monti (Lamborghini Huracan GT3).

In the headliners, Dani Juncadella (Aston Martin Vantage GT3), Andy Soucek and Alex Buncombe (Bentley Continental GT3), Christian Engelhart (Porsche 911 GT3 R) or Dennis Lind (Lamborghini Huracan GT3) will be ones to watch.

Please note that all donations raised by this event (minimum of €15 requested per registration) will be donated to the Covid-19 response fund, which supports the World Health Organization and its partners.
