Contested on the Assetto Corsa Competizione PC simulation, the virtual GT World Challenge Europe championship is split into two categories: the Pro drivers, who are usually seen aboard GT3s, and the simracers, grouped in the Silver class.

The fourth and penultimate round will be organized on the Catalan circuit of Barcelona, Sunday May 31 from 13:45 p.m.. In Pro, it's the Briton Ben Barnicoat (McLaren) qui mène la danse, devant le Suisse Louis Delétraz (Porsche) et l’Italien Lorenzo Marcucci (Audi).

The first Frenchman classified is Romain Monti, 10th with his Bentley Continental GT3. Arthur Rougier (Audi) will want to regain the points whileArno Santamato (Mercedes) will look to open its score.

In Silver, the ranking is dominated by David Tonizza (Ferrari), who is none other than the champion of F1 Reigning Esports Pro Series. We will monitor the progress of the young Frenchman Axel Petit (Lexus, 20 years old), resident of Triple A Esports and third in the previous round at the Nürburgring.

For fans of historic vehicles, the German Touring Championship (DTM) has thought of you. The legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife track will be the playground for two competitions on Sunday May 31 from 14 p.m. The first will be reserved for cars from the 1992 season such as the BMW M3, the Mercedes 190E Evo 2 or the Audi V8 Quattro Evo. The second round will be dedicated to 2016 cars (Audi RS5, BMW M4, Mercedes C63).

The entry list results from a mix between official DTM and Super GT drivers, simracers and amateur gamers who registered on the RaceRoom PC game.

Change of atmosphere Sunday May 31 from 14:30 p.m. with the World Championship event rallycross Esports in Abu Dhabi. We can count on the presence of several big names in the discipline such as the brothers Timmy and Kevin Hansen (Peugeot ), Timo Scheider (Audi), Rokas Baciuska (Renault).

Also expected are drivers accustomed to the circuit such as Esteban Guerrieri (WTCR) or Shane van Gisbergen (Supercars). But the most anticipated wild card is undoubtedly that of the Monegasque Charles Leclerc, Ferrari F1 driver. The competition will be played on the Dirt Rally 2.0 video game.

TCR Europe SIM Racing

Less extensive but just as spectacular, the TCR Europe SIM Racing grid promises a high level of quality. The only participants accepted are drivers registered in the real Touring championship!

Appointment is made Wednesday May 27 from 19 p.m. for the third round, played on the Assetto Corsa game. In a discipline appreciated in Eastern Europe, it is not surprising to see the provisional podium monopolized by three Hungarians (Daniel Nagy, Bence Boldizs and Tamas Tenke). As luck would have it, the vehicles will evolve... on the Hungaroring near Budapest (Hungary).

One of the revelations of last year's WTCR, Mikel Azcona (Cupra), is at the foot of the virtual podium. French Teddy Clairet (Peugeot), very fast Red Bull Ring in mid-May, will want to get even closer to the podium (6th).

All French drivers will drive Peugeot 308 TCRs: Teddy and Jimmy Clairet, but also Aurélien Comte, Julien Briché and Stéphane Ventaja.

This is already the sixth time that the 24 drivers of the electric discipline will meet virtually, Saturday May 30 from 16:30 p.m. French time. After a Berlin round marked by the anti-sportsmanship of Daniel Abt (excluded for cheating), the competitors will want to start off on the right (right) foot.

For both Manufacturers and Drivers, Mahindra is at the top of the general rankings. Pascal Wehrlein is 8 points ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes) and 13 points ahead of Maximilian Günther (BMW i Andretti). Please note that this Race at Home Challenge helps raise funds for Unicef as part of the fight against Covid-19.

The Americans are playing too! The IMSA iRacing Pro Invitational Series championship is based, as its name suggests, on the iRacing PC simulation.

For the race scheduled at VIRginia International Raceway on Wednesday May 28 at midnight French time, the organizers are planning no fewer than 50 GT LMs at the start! The Canadian Bruno Spengler (BMW) holds the lead in the general classification but is only eight points ahead of Nicky Catsburg (BMW).

In the French clan, we will find Jules Gounon, who will try to regain his bearings with the Ferrari 488 GTE of Risi Competizione before returning to the American team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans next September. Tristan Vautier will drive a BMW M8 GTE.

This week, simracing fans will welcome a new discipline: the Formula Renault Esport Series. The Diamond brand is infiltrating the virtual sector via the iRacing PC platform. Kick-off is planned Friday May 29 from 19 p.m. on the Brazilian circuit of Sao Paulo, with the former Formula Renault 3.5 single-seaters.

No names have leaked, but it is already certain that the young guns of the Formula Renault Eurocup will have to compete with former glories of the discipline and recognized simracers. In addition, climatic or track conditions may change and damage management will be taken into account.

Finally, among those entered in the 2020 Europcup, the winner of each race will be given a set of Hankook tires for their (real) season, which will further motivate the participants.
