Audi DTM drivers launch Gran Turismo Sport competition against Covid-19

Mike Rockenfeller decided to combine business with pleasure. Weaned from competition because of the coronavirus pandemic, the 2013 champion of DTM decided to launch a virtual competition on the game Gran Turismo Sport on PlayStation 4.

The objective is to invite his Audi Sport teammates Loïc duval, Jamie Green, René Rast and Robin Frijns once a week for a race aboard the electric concept Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo

Amateur players will also be able to join the game by creating a livery for the German racing car. The most original decoration will win its place on the starting grid after a vote by the jury, made up of the six drivers from the brand with the Rings.

That's for the fun side. The useful aspect of the process lies in sending donations for charitable works linked to the fight against Covid-19. " There are many freelancers in the motorsport world who have lost their income overnight and are struggling to survive., says Mike Rockenfeller. This is why it will be possible to bid to join us on the list of participants.

All events in the #RaceHome charity series will be broadcast live video on www.twitch.tv/visionrcco. The first race is scheduled for Tuesday April 21 from 20 p.m.
