After announcing the end of its official program in Formula E for the end of 2021, and the strengthening of its Sim Racing program, BMW Motorsport has formalized the first dates of its various virtual competitions.
iRacing, rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa Competizione will be the three platforms used by the German brand to involve drivers online, via three major competitions.
BMW SIM GT Cup - iRacing.
New competition which takes over from the SIM 120 Cup, the SIM GT Cup will take place via two calendars, the first having already been revealed. Competitors will compete at the wheel of the BMW M8 GTE, seen in real life in IMSA and WEC in recent seasons.
The second part of the series will take place, however, with the future novelty from Munich, namely the BMW M4 GT3, expected in official competition in 2022, to take over from the M6 GT3.
Season 1:

May 2: Road Atlanta
May 16: Nürburgring (final)
BMW SIM M2 CS Racing Cup – rFactor 2
Previously organized on the Nordschleife and on the modern Nürburgring, the SIM M2 CS Racing Cup will offer several tracks to competitors in 2021. Here again, the dates for the second part of the year have not yet been made official.
Season 1:

March 22: Spa-Francorchamps
April 5: Silverstone
April 19: Nürburgring
May 3: Sebring
May 17: Tour to be confirmed
BMW SIM Time Attack by Assetto Corsa Competizione
The last part of the BMW Motorsport virtual competitions will feature the GT4 and the BMW M4, very lively in reality in the French Championship FFSAGT with the Welcome Space. All Assetto Corsa Competizione players can try to achieve the best possible time on a different circuit each month, with the fastest drivers qualifying for the 2021 BMW SIM Live.
Munich will reveal the full program in the coming days.
