First of all, know that we have not yet had the opportunity to test Project Cars 3. It is thanks to a keynote with the development teams that we are able to reveal the first information about this third episode. To begin, let's return to Project Cars 2 which is located, in terms of gameplay, a little below Assetto Corsa Competizione, which is simulation-oriented. Project Cars is therefore not a frankly elitist series, but it is not an arcade game either, far from it. The title will offer a revised and corrected Career mode with a level system that will allow you to earn XP and credits to buy cars. These credits will also be used to improve the performance of your cars: base model towards GT3 version for example. The more you ride without assistance, the faster your credits and XP will increase. The studio's objective is clear: to allow beginners to discover the game and regulars to progress more quickly.

As in most current simulations, it is above all online that we find the virtual pilots. From this point of view, Project Cars 2 ensures: we can still easily find fairly well-filled salons for driving. Project Cars 3 will go even further in this area. Indeed, in addition to joining a racing room in the classic way, the title will offer quick games where you just have to click to join a group. The really cool new thing is planned races. At a given time, on a given circuit, in a given category and depending on your XP level, you will be able to register to participate in qualifying and the race. As you will have understood, the higher your XP, the greater the number of races in which you will be able to take part. Project Cars 3 takes a big leap forward and we're not going to complain! A Rival mode has also been added. Here, it will be about setting a pure time with a ghost that you will have to beat in real time to move up the rankings. Another new feature, it will now be possible to create your own decoration via an application integrated into the game. But you will still be able to ride with the official decorations, it's up to you... While waiting to be able to get an idea on the track, we can now and already say that Project Cars 3 is looking pretty good, with a lot of new features. On the other hand, if the developers have opted for Forza-style gameplay, it will be a radical change... not necessarily welcome (as far as we are concerned at least)!
