Formula 1 Azerbaijan Virtual Grand Prix
Disparaged for a unrealistic spectacle in the streets of Monaco, the virtual competition set up by Formula 1 will try to catch up on Sunday June 7 at around 19 p.m. with the Azerbaijan Virtual Grand Prix.
This meeting also constitutes the final race of this type, before the drivers prepare to return to a very real paddock near Austria at the beginning of July. “We are immensely proud of this Virtual Grand Prix Series, which brought a bit of F1 to fans around the world, during a period when real races were not feasible,” explains Julian Tan, Director of Esports for F1.
For this final, several big names appear, like the Frenchman Pierre Gasly in Alpha Tauri or Sergio Pérez with Racing Point. Famous YouTube simracers will be there, as will footballers (Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and AC Milan Gianluigi Donnarumma, Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte).
Renault will trust the pilot Formula 3 Oscar piastri while Red Bull will line up the winner of the 2018 Dakar on motorcycle, Matthias Walkner. The F1 Grand Prix will be preceded by the Formula 3 Virtual Racing at 17 p.m. and the Formula 1 Esports Pro Exhibition at 18 p.m.

It's time for the final rounds for the electric series. To mark the occasion, two races (instead of one) are planned this weekend. The seventh event will take place on Saturday June 6 from 16:30 p.m., while the final effort will be followed the next day at the same time.
In the general classification, Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes) stole the lead from Pascal Wehrlein (Mahindra) after the Race at Home Challenge in New York. Only one point separates the two participants, while Maximilian Günther (BMW i Andretti) is rejected by 32 lengths.
Mercedes is also five points ahead of Mahindra in the Teams championship. This competition also makes it possible to raise funds for Unicef, while bringing together the usual pilots of the Formula E on the game rFactor 2.
