We now know the release date of the next official game of the WRC. EA Sports WRC will be available on November 3 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Produced by Codemasters – who also develop the official game series of F1 and Dirt Rally – EA Sports WRC is the first game under the WRC license since Electronics Arts bought it from Kylotonn studio this year.

18 venues and 78 cars available on EA Sports WRC

EA Sports WRC leverages Unreal Engine and physics engine technology from the DiRT Rally series. Electronics Arts announces more than 600 kilometers of courses on various terrains (asphalt, snow, dirt, gravel) in 18 different locations. The 13 events of the 2023 calendar will be present in the long term: only the Rally Central Europe will be missing at launch, but will be added later in an update.

The full list of available vehicles will be revealed over the days.

EA Sports announces advanced dynamic driving system for “off-road experience more realistic than ever”. The game was designed in part with the expertise of real drivers like current European Rally Championship 3 champion Jon Armstrong.

While there are no details yet on a career mode in the style of previous WRC games, EA Sports WRC will include an "editor" mode that will allow players to create their own rally car by selecting the chassis, bodywork and mechanical elements before personalizing their livery. Finally, the game will feature expanded online and multiplayer modes and similar competitions seen on the Dirt Rally games, including challenges inspired by real-life moments from the 2023 season.
