A crazy grid for the virtual 24 hours of Le Mans

The 24 Hours of Le Mans virtual events contested on June 13 and 14, on the dates planned for the real event, aroused great enthusiasm. The ACO registered 85 applications for an event limited to 50 crews (30 LMP2s and 20 GTEs).

The premier category of the virtual race composed solely of Oreca 07 will welcome famous teams in WEC. Toyota Gazoo Racing will field three cars. Rebellion will do the same by being associated with Williams. Signatech Alpine will be present with a model, such as Panis Racing, TDS E Racing or Richard Mille Racing Team. Jean-Éric Vergne's virtual structure Veloce Esports will be there with three crews. The Belgian WRT team will be present with a model, as will Team Penske which could call on simon pagenaud for the test.

 

 

On the GTE side, the field will be more diversified with the Ferrari 488, the Porsche 911 RSR, Corvette C7R and Aston Martin Vantage. The Stuttgart manufacturer will be officially entered with four teams. The British brand will have 3 models. AF Corse will represent the Prancing Horse with three 488 GTEs. R8G Esports Team and Feed Racing will be registered on a Corvette in addition to the two official ones.

 

 

The virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans will be contested on the rFactor2 game. The 88th edition of the Sarthe double clock tower has been rescheduled for September 19 and 20.
