A first video of WRC 9

KT Racing has been operating the license for several years WRC to produce the official video games for the World Rally Championship. The Parisian studio has revealed the first images of its new opus, WRC 9, scheduled for September 3, 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with a video of the Rally from New Zealand.

This opus will provide new playing fields with the revised calendar this year in the WRC. In addition to the return of New Zealand after 7 years of absence, the developers modeled the events of the Kenya Safari Rally and the Japan Rally.

“The roads of New Zealand are among the most beautiful and popular in the history of the Championship, says Benoît Gomes, Lead Level Designer at KT Racing. Renowned for its series of fast turns and its very fast pace, it is also the breathtaking landscapes that make this rally such a special experience. Extensive preparatory work allowed us to reproduce as faithfully as possible the lush vegetation, the lighting, the unique views of the ocean, as well as the topography and the road surface, mainly composed of gravel. We are convinced that WRC 9 players will enjoy taking on this new challenge as much as we do,” concludes Benoît Gomes.

The WRC 9 game will be released later on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.
