Stoffel Vandoorne will not have won the last event of the Formula E Race at Home Challenge contested last Sunday on the Berlin track on the rFactor 2 platform. This honor went to Oliver Rowland who won the victory at the best time since the points were doubled on this last round.
Nevertheless, by taking second place, the resident of Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team finished at the top of the standings with 24 points ahead of Pascal Wehrlein, while the winner of the final took 3rd place with 32 points behind the champion.
“I am very happy to win the Race at Home Challenge after 8 weeks of virtual races, commented the Belgian. We experienced some magnificent events during this period where I won several poles and podiums as well as a victory. We could perhaps have had other successes, but it was our consistency that played a role in the end. »
Mercedes did not do things by halves since the star manufacturer also won the Manufacturers' championship with 21 points ahead of Nissan e.dams and 40 points over Mahindra Racing. DS Techeetah finished in 9th position.
