VIDEO – F1 23 introduces you to the Las Vegas circuit

While waiting for reality, make way for the virtual. While the first edition of the Grand Prix is ​​scheduled for Saturday November 18 (Sunday 19 in the morning in France), the Formula 1, via its official game F1 23, offered us a taste of the urban layout of Las Vegas which returns to the premier category after more than 40 years.

This time, it is not a question of a circuit located in the parking lot of Caesars Palace, one of the famous hotels in the city of sin, but of a 100% urban route in the streets of Las Vegas. Looking at the images, we notice that the start will not be given in a straight line since some drivers from the back of the grid will still find themselves on turn 17, the last on the track, when the lights go out.

Recent changes

As a reminder, the promoters of the Las Vegas Grand Prix recently made changes to the design of the route in preparation for the arrival of F1 in a few months. The portion after turn 6 has been reworked and turn 7 is no longer a long 180° like that of Sochi but a braking point leading to a chicane.

These modifications will reduce the speed of the drivers who will then attack the fast part of the circuit including the famous straight line of the “Strip” 1,9 kilometers long.
