William Byron scores his 3rd eNascar victory

William Byron is definitely at ease on the iRacing platform. The resident of Hendrick Motorsports offered his third success in the space of 3 races by winning last weekend in the virtual race at Dover International Speedway.

The driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet led most of the laps of the event with 79 laps spent in the lead despite the 9 yellow flags displayed. The 22-year-old Charlotte native won in front of the Toyota Camry by Christopher Bell, Timmy Hill and Erik Jones.

" I had fun, confided the three-time winner in the eNascar iRacing Pro Invitational Series. There were clearly a lot of yellow flags and I had to concentrate on my pace. It was hard to predict when the stints would be longer and how to preserve the tires. My team gave me good advice by offering to change all four tires. »

Denny Hamlin, the winner of the first Homedstead-Miami virtual event, took 6th place behind Michael McDowell.

The next simulation round contested this weekend will offer a unique event with the North Wilkesboro Speedway event which no longer hosted the Nascar Cup Series since 1996.
