Born December 30, 1956 in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine)

Coming from a wealthy background, François Hesnault stood out somewhat in motorsport in the 80s, having more of the image of a gentleman driver from the 50s. This son of a transporter initially followed the example of his brother Philippe, who distinguished himself in hill climbs as well as in 24 Hours of Le Mans. After a timid start in 1980, on Martini FR, Hesnault gained momentum in 1981, ranking 3e of the Fr championship
