F1 Manager 2022 reveals some images of its gameplay

The F1-style Football Manager is expected in summer 2022. Developed by Frontier Developments, F1 Manager 2022 has revealed its first gameplay images. Like the popular opus on football where the player has the destiny of a club in his hands, this game will allow you to take the reins of one of the ten official teams of the world championship of Formula 1.

Players will be able to control all aspects of their team, upgrading and refurbishing certain factory facilities, including the wind tunnel and simulator. Recruitment will have an important role since engineers and aerodynamicists can be added to your favorite team. It's up to you to build your staff so that they develop the best car before the start of the season. Several screens will be usable to watch the level estimates of our rivals. Different data will be available, including those for turns and straights. 

A development page will allow you to develop a part for a specific circuit, or to prepare a set of developments to bring to a future race. After choosing the part that needs improvement, you can allocate testing and wind tunnel hours to develop it. You will then need to make copies of this part for the upcoming race weekend, if you have the time and money to do so. Indeed, all this must be done according to the official rules of the discipline, while respecting in particular the budgetary ceiling.

Once the development part is finished, we will have to concentrate on the race weekends. The three Free Practice sessions can be managed or simulated, they will help you boost the confidence of your drivers and test your settings. In qualifying, you will decide when to send your protégés onto the track in order to give them the clearest track possible.

For race day, a good strategy will obviously be essential. You will be able to choose the precise revolutions for tire changes and for which rubbers. The strategy can be modified according to the hazards of the race (Safety Car, weather, accidents, etc.) and tire wear will be simulated according to the different elements affecting the Pirelli compounds. The race will be visible in 3D representation and, once again like a Football Manager, you can choose to follow it in full or just the highlights. In addition, transmitting instructions to your pilots will be possible.

One of the main questions also rested on the management of the pilots. All Formula 1 drivers, but also those of F2 and F3 will be available to form your line-up. Similar to actual F1 regulations, F3 drivers will only be able to be hired by an F1 team if they have been promoted to F2 or have completed two seasons in F3 and are over 18 years old.

F1 Manager 2022 is scheduled for release in Summer 2022 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam and Epic Games Store.
