One week before the first Grand Prix of the 2023 season Formula 1, the 10 Formula 1 teams have already gathered in Bahrain for three days of testing on the Sakhir track.
The drivers' only taste of their new cars were the shakedowns organized at times in Barcelona, Silverstone, Fiorano and Misano. So these sessions will be crucial for the different teams in the paddock. The morning sessions will last 4 hours (8 a.m. – 12 p.m. French time), and the afternoon sessions will take place from 13 p.m. to 17:30 p.m. (French time).

To optimize these tests, the teams have adopted different strategies. Some have their two drivers racing over the three days alternating in the manner of Haas ou Alpha Tauri, when others reserve a full day for everyone, like Williams. McLaren ou Haas have already sent their car on the track in recent days.
Aston Martin, for its part, will roll its reservist Felipe Drugovich to replace Lance stroll. The Canadian will be withdrawn following a “minor” cycling accident. His participation in the season-opening Grand Prix has not yet been confirmed.
These tests will also be an opportunity to discover the new features of each and to get a first idea of the hierarchy between each car, although it will be too early to draw the first conclusions.
