VIDEO – A ride in Patrick Tambay’s Lola-Ford for his last Grand Prix

This is undoubtedly one of his most complicated seasons in Formula 1. In 1986, for his last in the big circus, he would certainly have liked to know another fate but the Lolas from Carl's stable Haas did not work despite the switch from the Hart engine to the Ford Cosworth during the year.

Thus, the Cannais experienced a difficult 1986 campaign, as evidenced by his accident with Martin Brundle at the Monaco Grand Prix near Mirabeau. Unfortunately, the retirements marked his final year in F1 as he accumulated 7 others.

But Patrick Tambay was above all subtlety behind the wheel. A very good driver but not often well rewarded, the Tricolore has always shown great cleanliness when he took the controls of his different cars. Here is an example with an onboard camera ride on the Lola in Adelaide in 1986.
