Audi wants new DTM regulations

In the boxes: a reconciliation of regulations DTM (German) and Super GT (Japanese). This high probability would allow manufacturers to develop only one model capable of competing in two championships with important markets.

“We are not involved in this merger,” says Ullrich. “But if we can make common cause, we will find our interest in it. »

If the primary idea was to establish a single regulation for the two countries, it could be that a simple equivalence would be proposed for 2011. This project pleases Audi which wishes to avoid any delay and retain the concept of DTM.

“The basic concept of the car is very good. We don't want to touch it. What we want is to attract other manufacturers. We have contacts and brands are interested but times are tough,” adds the German.
