Thunderbolt in Supercars. Garth Tander will not return to Triple Eight in 2023. The two parties announced this Friday the end of a collaboration that began in 2019 and which led them to two victories at the Bathurst 1000 with Shane van Gisbergen (2020 and 2022).

« Garth Tander has always been a well respected member of Triple Eight over the past 4 years, points team principal Jamie Whincup. We can only recognize his incredible contribution to the team and in particular the two victories at the Bathurst 1000. Although we are disappointed by his decision not to renew his contract for next season, we must respect it."

His departure from Triple Eight does not, however, mark the end of his career in Supercars. Moments after the announcement, Garth Tander was confirmed in the ranks of Grove Racing always as co-driver for the endurance rounds. In 2023, for the transition to Gen3, the father and son team Whole grained, Stephen and Brenton, will enter Ford Mustang GT S650s.
