Bamber returns to the Bathurst 1K

Australian Supercars has not seen him on the Mount Panorama hill since 2018. Earl Bamber will once again compete in the Bathurst 1K (October 000-7) in 10 with a Ford Mustang.

The 30-year-old New Zealander will partner André Heimgartner in Team Kelly Whole grained Racing, and does not lack ambition. “For me, success at Mont Panorama is one of my goals to achieve, especially with André, a fellow Kiwi. It would be fantastic ", explique celui qui a déjà gagné à Bathurst, mais aux 12 Heures avec Porsche.

“When I discovered the Bathurst 1K in 000 (5th with Shane van Gisbergen. Editor’s note), the atmosphere was incredible, the race means so much to the fans and the teams and it's the one race that every driver wants to win in Supercars. It is one of the coolest and most competitive endurance events I've competed in » Coming from a double winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and champion ofIMSA in GTLM, this compliment has value.

“I'm really looking forward to working with André, he's a young man (25 years old) who is starting to consolidate his place as a challenger in the championship with really solid and consistent results. The team is working really hard on the development of the car at the moment too and the results are starting to show, so it's definitely an exciting time for Kelly Grove Racing and I can't wait to be a part of it. »
