Bathurst 1000 – Alexandre Prémat: “We believed in victory”

A tenth of a second. This is what was missing last Sunday Alexandre Prémat to enter the history of the Australian Supercars championship. Beaten by the duo Will Davison – Jonathon Webb (Tekno Autosports), the former Audi driver, who supports Shane van Gisbergen in the 2016 Enduro Cup events within the Red Bull Racing Australia, however, achieved a remarkable performance in this Bathurst 1000.

“Yes, we believed in victory, Prémat admitted to us upon arrival. We lost big in the pit lane, which is why our race engineer collapsed. Knowing that we lost the race by 0″1, he found it unfair for us.

The ending was terribly stressful. As for Shane and I, we gave it our all, without making a single mistake, while being fast and making overtakes. But in my eyes, Bathurst is as strong as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, or Indy 500, or even more, so 2nd is awesome. »
