Bathurst 1000 – Whincup on provisional pole, Premat third

The seven-time Australian Supercars champion Jamie Whincup (Holden) is the favorite for the Bathurst 1000 Km. The Triple Eight driver took provisional pole position on Friday during the first dry track session of the week.

 

The Australian lapped 155 thousandths faster than David Reynolds (Holden), but is not yet certain of starting from first place on Sunday in the race. Indeed, itThis session was used to determine the order of the starting grid from 11th to 26th place. The top 10 will have to take turns competing on Saturday in the Top 10 Shootout.
