Bortolotti and Thiim teammates at SSR Performance in 2024

Mirko Bortolotti and NIcki Thiim received an early Christmas present. A few days before the holidays, Munich-based SSR Performance announced that it would line up with Italian Mirko Bortolotti and Dane Nicki Thiim for the season. DTM 2024. The team will drive two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2s.

Bortolotti finished second in this year's championship with SSR Performance. He won three races, the same number as champion Thomas Preining (Porsche / Manthey EMA). Bortolotti's new teammate Thiim also comes into the series with a great reputation. With Aston Martin, he twice won the GTE Pro category of the World ChampionshipEndurance of the FIA ​​and has also made a name for himself on the GT3 scene.

Thiim follows in the footsteps of his father Kurt, DTM winner in 1986, and can look back on a long and successful career in motorsport in various series. The Dane, adored by German audiences, grew up in Germany and has lived in the North Rhine-Westphalia region for a long time.
