DTM – Maximilian Götz will make his Mercedes debut

Maximilian Götz is rewarded for his efforts by Mercedes by unhooking a steering wheel DTM. The 28-year-old German has distinguished himself for several seasons at the wheel of SLS AMG GT3 with which he participated in 82 races between 2011 and 2014. In this time, the German driver has obtained ten victories, 32 podiums and 60 top tens. , but also a title in ADAC GT Masters (2012) and Blancpain Sprint Series (2014). He also won the 24 Hours of Spa and the 1000km of the Nürburgring in 2013.

The pilot from AMG customer sports program is preparing to rise to a higher level and approaches this new challenge with humility. “I will remember for a long time the moment I learned that he would be racing in the DTM in 2015”, declared Maximilian Götz. “It was fantastic to know that the successes achieved with different teams in recent years were closely followed by the Mercedes sporting management. Mercedes is coming off a difficult season in DTM since the star manufacturer finished last in the Manufacturers' Championship. The 2015 season will begin at the beginning of May in Hockenheim (Germany).
