The 27 crews entered to compete in the second meeting of the 2023 Lamera Cup set up yesterday on the tarmac of the Motorland circuit near Alcañiz in Aragon. For this competition, it is a first so the 8 hours of driving scheduled for Friday were used by the numerous drivers to learn the 5,344 km of the route.

While the temperature continued to rise, they had the opportunity to refine their sensations and their settings one last time on Saturday morning with another 3 hours of track opening which the different teams exploited according to their own strategy. Once all these adjustments were completed, it was time to get down to business with the two qualifications.

A car's time was established by adding the best times of each of the three drivers. The latter each had 9 minutes to set a time and in this exercise, the n°73 of Auto Leclerc won in 6'51"826 ahead of the n°62 (Team Lamera +1"4), the n°29 (CTF Delta Candioux at 1″6), n°421 (ETC Racing at 1″7) and n°80 (Continental Racing at 2″5).

During the session determining the starting grid for the long (7 hours) race on Sunday, the No. 73 was slowed down by a fuel shortage, leaving the field open to the No. 62, author of the best time in 6' 52″665 ahead of n°29 (at 0″7), n°80 (at 1″6), n°421 (at 3″4) and n°64 (Asphalt at 5″8).

The first round of the weekend will take place on Saturday from 15:30 p.m.
